Terms and conditions

This English version is a translation provided for convenience. The Spanish version is the only legally binding text and prevails in the event of any discrepancy or difference in interpretation. You can read it by switching the page to Spanish.

1. What Desligate is

Desligate is a free service that, for the domains the user adds and verifies, automatically turns off the Cloudflare proxy for that domain while an IP block imposed by Spanish telecommunications operators under interim court measures relating to the protection of sports broadcasting rights is in force, and turns it back on when the block ends. The service does not host content, does not modify the user's site and does not at any time interfere with the content served — it only changes the DNS proxy mode of the records the user expressly selects.

2. Use only for your own legitimate content

The service is intended exclusively to restore access to legitimate websites and content, owned by the user or which the user has the right to operate, that have been affected as collateral damage from sharing network infrastructure with third parties unrelated to the user. The user represents and warrants that:

  • They own the domain they have added, or have the express authorisation of its owner to manage it.
  • The content served from that domain does not infringe the intellectual property rights of third parties.
  • They will not use the service to broadcast, redistribute or facilitate access to sports audiovisual content without the authorisation of its rights holder.

3. Prohibited uses

It is expressly prohibited to add to Desligate any domain that:

  • Broadcasts, links to or facilitates access to sports competitions without the authorisation of the rights holder (pirate IPTV, unauthorised streaming, link aggregators and similar).
  • Hosts or distributes copyright-protected content without proper authorisation.
  • Is used, in general, for the purpose of actively circumventing an interim court measure directed against the domain's own content or owner (as opposed to mitigating the collateral damage of a block directed against third parties).

4. Account suspension and deletion

Desligate reserves the right to suspend, limit or delete, immediately and without notice, the service, a specific domain or an entire user account, for any reason and at its sole discretion — including, among others, signs of a breach of these terms, suspicion of unauthorised or illegal content, a request from a competent authority, improper or abusive use, or purely operational reasons or reasons relating to the sustainability of the service itself (for example, a volume of free accounts the service cannot sustain). The user does not need to have committed any breach for Desligate to exercise this right. Suspension or deletion means that automatic proxy management is turned off for the affected domains and, where possible, the domain is restored to its normal Cloudflare configuration, but it gives no right to notice, explanation or compensation of any kind — not even for accounts that have supported any of the optional extras described in section 9. This clause applies equally to free accounts, verified accounts and sponsors.

5. Contact

Any question, issue or notice relating to the service (including legal ones) can be sent to desligateweb@gmail.com.

6. Cloudflare credentials

To operate, the service requires the user to provide a Cloudflare API token with DNS edit permission limited to the zone of the managed domain. That token is stored encrypted and is used exclusively to read and change the `proxied` setting of the DNS records the user expressly selects during the connection process. The user can revoke the token from their own Cloudflare dashboard at any time, which immediately removes the service's ability to manage that domain.

7. Service availability and continuity

Desligate is a free service, provided without any guarantee of continuous availability or service level (SLA). Block detection depends on third-party signal sources that may not always be available or accurate; the service does not guarantee detection or the reactivation of the proxy within any given time. The user accepts that the service is a best-effort mitigation mechanism, not a guarantee that their own site will be available.

Beyond occasional failures, Desligate may reduce, interrupt or permanently discontinue the service, in whole or in part, at any time and without notice, for any reason, including among others: a lack of resources to sustain the infrastructure and third-party services required for a volume of free accounts the service cannot sustain (the optional extras in section 9 are voluntary, not a guaranteed source of income); a decision by the operator to discontinue the project; a legal or judicial requirement, or one from a competent authority, that forces the service to close; or the discontinuation, change of terms or unavailability of any third-party provider the service depends on (see the next section). The user expressly accepts this risk, whatever the specific reason, as a condition of using the service, and waives any claim to compensation for it. This absence of an SLA or guarantee and this risk of discontinuation apply equally to the optional extras described below — supporting the project gives no right to availability, support or continuity beyond what any user of the free service already accepts.

8. Reliance on third-party providers

Desligate does not operate in isolation: it depends on third-party services to work, including (among others, and subject to change without notice) Cloudflare (DNS, proxy and anti-bot verification), a hosting provider for the service itself, Resend (email delivery), hayahora.futbol (to detect IP blocks), football-data.org (an informational match calendar that plays no part in the protection), and Lemon Squeezy (management of the optional extras in section 9). Any of these providers may change their terms, prices or operation, interrupt their service, or stop being available at any time, without Desligate having any control over it. If that happens, some or all of Desligate's features may stop working, temporarily or permanently, without this being attributable to Desligate. The user accepts this risk as inherent to the design of the service.

9. Optional support extras

In addition to the core service, which is completely free, Desligate offers two entirely optional support extras: (a) skipping the activation queue, which verifies the user's account and immediately activates their queued domains, current and future, for one year; and (b) sponsorship, which shows the sponsor's name, logo and link on the Desligate home page for one year or until it expires, whichever is later. Neither extra is needed to use the free service normally, and neither limits any of its features.

  • Both are a one-off contribution, with no automatic renewal — once the year is over, if the user wants to keep the benefit, they have to support the project again explicitly.
  • There is no compensation of any kind if Desligate stops operating before the year is over, or for any other reason. This is support for the project, not a feature with a guaranteed return.
  • The extras do not exempt the user from any condition of these terms, including those on account suspension and deletion (section 4), service availability and discontinuation (section 7) and reliance on third-party providers (section 8), which apply equally to all users, whether or not they have supported the project.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Desligate is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Desligate shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damage, or for loss of profits, data or business, arising from: (a) a domain managed by the service being identified, blocked or subject to a request by a competent authority or by third parties because of the user's own content; (b) the suspension, limitation or deletion of any domain or account under section 4; (c) the interruption, degradation or discontinuation of the service, in whole or in part, under section 7; (d) failures, changes or interruptions of any third-party provider under section 8; or (e) any change to these terms under section 11. The user is, in all cases, solely responsible for the content served from the domains they add.

11. Changes to these terms

Desligate may change these terms at any time and without prior notice, to reflect changes in the service, in its sustainability or in the applicable legal framework. The version in force is always the one published on this page. Continued use of the service after a new version is published constitutes acceptance of it, whether or not the user has been notified individually — it is the user's responsibility to review this page periodically. If the user does not agree with a change, their only recourse is to stop using the service and request the deletion of their account through the contact in section 5.

12. Acceptance

By creating an account on Desligate, the user declares that they have read and accepted these terms in full, including the possibility of future changes without notice (section 11), the possibility of their account being suspended or deleted for any reason (section 4), and the risk of the service being interrupted or discontinued at any time (sections 7 and 8). This acceptance is a necessary condition for using the service and applies equally to free accounts, verified accounts and sponsors.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by Spanish law. Any dispute shall be submitted to the competent courts and tribunals in accordance with the applicable regulations.

14. Cookies and analytics

Desligate uses Google Analytics (GA4) to measure aggregate use of the site (visits, most viewed pages, sign-up conversion) and to improve the service. These measurement cookies are only set if the visitor gives their express consent in the notice shown on their first visit; if they reject it or do not respond, they are not loaded. The visitor can change their decision at any time by deleting the site's cookies in their browser, which makes the notice appear again. Desligate does not share with Google any personally identifiable data beyond what the tool itself collects by default.

If the visitor chooses a language, with the language selector or with a link that specifies it, a technical cookie remembers that choice for one year. It is not used to measure anything, is not shared with anyone, and does not need consent because the visitor asks for it.
