How Desligate works

The whole process, step by step. No need to touch your hosting or install anything.

    Sign up

    With your name, email and a password. You'll need to accept the Terms of Service.

    Verify your email

    We'll send you a confirmation link. You can't access the dashboard until you confirm it.

    Add your domain

    Enter the hostname (e.g. mydomain.com) and a short description of your website or business — it will be shown in the public directory once your domain is active.

    Connect your Cloudflare account

    Create an API token in your Cloudflare dashboard and paste it into Desligate. It's the only technical step, and it also proves the domain is yours (no extra verification steps).

    1. Open your Cloudflare API tokens (or the user icon at the top right → My Profile → API Tokens) and click "Create Token".
    2. Next to the "Edit zone DNS" template, click "Use template".
    3. In "Token name", type Desligate yourdomain.com so you can recognise it later.
    4. In "Zone Resources", leave "Include" and "Specific zone", and pick your domain in the third dropdown.
    5. Leave "Client IP Address Filtering" and "TTL" empty: with an IP the token would only work from your connection, and with a date it would stop working on that day.
    6. Click "Continue to summary" and then "Create Token".
    7. Copy the token (Cloudflare only shows it once) and paste it into Desligate.

    Choose which DNS records to manage

    Desligate lists the records with the Cloudflare proxy turned on and warns you if any aren't compatible (for example, if they point to Cloudflare Pages or Workers). Compatible ones come preselected.

    Wait for your turn in the activation queue

    Domains are activated in batches to keep the service under control while it grows. Your domain's page shows your position in the queue.

    From then on, it's all automatic

    Desligate monitors the block signal every few minutes and turns the Cloudflare proxy off or on for you. We email you about every change, and you can see the full history and switch to manual mode from your dashboard at any time.
